Pupils hop for Special RabbitA stuffed rabbit is the magic award for Ridgeway boys who do something outstanding or very helpful in the school. By Henry, Barnaby, Edward and Michael.
Jacob and Alex holding their stuffed award. 5 year old Jacob, won the award for being very helpful in the class. This included tiding up, putting away chairs, and help sort out the classroom for the teacher. Jacob is in reception year 2 at Ridgeway, he is a very helpful and polite boy - well deserving of this special award, in deed. Interview with Ridgeway pupils Alex and Jacob Alex, 11 years old, won the award, last Wednesday for the beginning of a story he wrote for an English test, in a period of 20 - 25 minutes. The mystery story that Alex wrote was excellently portrayed using his clear knowledge of English, especially as he is only 11 years old! I can see him doing very well in English years to come. Alex (year6) Reading his brilliant winning story The Rabbit was presented to the school by Helen Devine - the mother of Callum Devine, a former at Ridgeway and Claries court who left 3 years ago. It has been used as an award for 10 years now. The best part of today on BBC school report was the interviewing with Alex and Jacob. We thoroughly enjoyed our day on the BBC. At least one of our team members says he would like to become a sports journalist!
