FeesAll tuition and Nursery fees are collected by direct debit from a current bank account maintained in the UK. For a direct debit instruction form, click here (PDF File). Fees Scale - Academic Year 2010-2011Tuition fees are payable by Direct Debit, either by instalment or in full, on or before the first day of term. Please note that we accept settlement by cash or by cheque only by prior arrangement. You will find details of the instalment scheme (which offers a £60 discount per term to participants) below. If you do not pay by instalment, a discount is offered for payment of the Fee Invoice within 7 days of issue at the end of the preceding term. This discount is shown below.
Fees for Years R to 8 include all text books, stationery and games transport together with any educational outings that may be organised. Tuition for 4 year olds and “wraparound” childcare for other ages, outside of the timetable, may qualify under the Inland Revenue rules for employer support via Childcare Vouchers. Please apply to the School Accountant for details. The Year 6 fee includes the cost of a residential study week held during the course of the academic year. Fees for Years 9, 10, 11 and the Sixth Form include games transport but exclude text books, related course material and educational outings which are charged for separately. All Fees include personal and dental accident insurance but exclude charges for public examinations, individual Remedial Unit tuition, individual musical instrument tuition, social outings and certain extra-curricular activities. There is a reduction of £180 per term for the first younger sibling, £360 for the second, £540 for the third and £720 for the fourth and succeeding siblings, whether brother or sister, concurrently at the School (but excluding those in The Nursery). Fees and charges are notified by invoice at the end of each term. Payment is due on or before the first day of the succeeding term. An administration charge is levied for late payment. Parents must give a full term's notice in writing to the Head before withdrawing a pupil from the School or from any chargeable extra subject, otherwise a term's fees will be payable in lieu of such notice. Registration Fee £50This is a non-returnable Registration Fee and is payable when the Application Form is sent to the School. Its acceptance records that the name of a pupil is on the Entry List but does not constitute an offer of a place at the School. Acceptance Deposit £500This deposit is payable when the Acceptance Form is returned to the School. £300 is held against fees payable on the first day of term, the remaining £200 is refundable against the Leaver's Statement. The deposit is forfeit when an accepted place is not taken up. No additional deposit is required where younger siblings of current pupils are being registered, but this initial deposit will then be refundable against the younger (and succeeding) pupil's Leaver's Statement. ExtrasMany extras are optional and may be kept to a minimum. Extras are normally itemised, together with the charges noted above, on a Fee Invoice sent out at the end of each term. Some extras are due in advance of their provision, others in arrears; wherever possible this will be indicated. Some extra curricular activities (evening/out of school/holiday) may incur an extra charge (see also below). InsurancePersonal and dental accident insurance is included within the tuition fee.
Musical Instrument TuitionThe School's visiting musical staff charge parents direct for an individual's programme of study. Please refer to such tutors for their contractual terms. TransportPlease see the Coach Services Section. The Society/The College PTA £6.00 per termParents of pupils at Ridgeway, Claires Court and the Sixth Form are invited to join The Society; parents of pupils at The Nursery and The College may join The College PTA. Membership is per family. MealsFood provided at School must be paid for at the time of purchase. Evening/Out Of School/Holiday ActivitiesBecause of their nature, any payment for these is normally identified and required separately. Please note that the evening activity programme is suspended at the beginning and end of each term and at certain other times (e.g. Speech Day). NoteA full term's notice, in writing to the Head, is required for the withdrawal of a pupil from the school or from any chargeable extra subject, otherwise a term's fees will be payable in lieu of such notice. Instalment SchemeAutumn Term 2010, Lent Term & Summer Terms 2011Payment of the School Fee Invoice is due in full on or before the first day of the term to which it refers. As an alternative, you may make payment by variable direct debit which offers simplicity, safety and convenience. With this method, payment is made automatically to the School in accordance with an instruction completed by you and held at your Bank. There is no need for separate cheques to cover termly extras nor for new instructions as and when fee levels change. You - as the payer - remain in total control. You can cancel the authority simply by informing your bank. You will be notified in advance of any changes in amounts and dates of payments. Should you have any query about any payment contact your Bank. They can make an immediate refund. There are 12 payments in the full scheme. Nine of these will be made monthly, at the beginning of each month, from July 2010 to March 2011. The first three payments (July, August and September) will cover the Autumn Term tuition fees, the second (October, November and December) the Lent Term, the third (January, February and March) the Summer Term. The three remaining payments will coincide with the first day of each term (9 September 2010, 5 January 2011 and 27 April 2011) and will collect any outstanding extras as notified by the Fee Invoice sent out at the end of the previous term. Parents who participate fully in the scheme will be entitled to a £60 discount on each term's tuition fee. In respect of siblings. All siblings (but excluding those in The Nursery) must be included. Arrangements to "part-pay" can be made but will not qualify for discount. The scale below shows monthly direct debits by Year:
The monthly direct debit will be further reduced by £60 in respect of the first qualifying younger sibling (i.e. £180 per term), £120 for the second, £180 for the third, £240 for the fourth and succeeding siblings, by £230 if qualifying for Nursery Education Funding, and by pro rata amounts for holders of scholarships and bursaries. In order to comply with banking regulations, collections will be made by individual pupil, rather than family group. If you wish to join this scheme, then please contact the Bursar's Office (01628 411484) and ask for a direct debit instruction form to be sent to you. You will need to complete this form appropriately and return it to the same office. Once we have received your completed instruction, a process of approval and acceptance must take place with your bank, which also involves giving you at least 10 working days written notice of the first collection. Instructions which are received too late to be implemented within the correct time scale, will be held over to the next appropriate date and if commencement is delayed the discount will be reduced by £20 for each month of delay. Where direct debits are not met, there will be an administrative charge of £20 in respect of each failure. Your instruction will remain in force until you cancel it with the School, your Bank or Building Society, or until the final Leaver's Statement upon departure. Nursery Fees - ACADEMIC YEAR 2010-2011ADMISSION AGENurseries at the age of 3 years. Transition around the 4th birthday. PLACEMENTAt the time of Registration, we ask parents to advise us as to their preference with regard to their child’s placement. We hope that parents will understand that it is not always possible to meet requests for placement in a specific Nursery or Transition if the setting chosen is already at or close to capacity. DATES OF TERMSNursery and Transition term dates vary slightly from those of the main school so as to balance the terms into complete weeks. The dates for the coming year are as follows:
Please note that the Autumn 2010 half-term break will be for two weeks. Please also note that there is a Bank Holiday on 2 May 2010 (May Day) which will not be charged. SESSIONSThe Nursery and Transition day is divided into a number of sessions. Please refer to the appropriate section for attendance requirements.
Children may be dropped off earlier than the times shown above and may be collected later. Our Before and After School Care services start from 7.30 am and extend until 6.30 pm. See overleaf for more. LUNCHTIME SESSIONSBetween the Morning and Afternoon sessions, we offer Lunchtime sessions during which children are supervised while eating a packed lunch supplied from home, and a rest afterwards. There is no facility for providing food in the Nurseries but Transition pupils may take lunch in the school dining room. The charge for a school lunch is £2.40 per day in addition to the lunchtime session charge. AFTERNOON ACTIVITIESA feature of the Nurseries and Transition at the College is the activity programme offered in the afternoons. Activities offered for the Autumn Term 2010 (for example) include Pre-Ballet Movement, Malleable Materials, French, Music, Imaginative Play and Physical Development. Those children who regularly attend on the afternoon of the activity are invited to join in without further charge. Some activities are strictly limited as to the number of participants - always book early to avoid disappointment. REGISTRATION FEES & DEPOSITSA Registration Fee of £50 becomes due on application for a place in the Nurseries or Transition. It is not refundable once registration has been confirmed by the College in writing. A Deposit is not normally required for the Nurseries or Transition although one will be required on transfer to a Reception Class either at the College or at Ridgeway. FEESThe fees are based on attendance for the same set of morning, lunch or afternoon sessions each week throughout the term. In the Nurseries, extra morning or afternoon sessions can usually be added, subject to availability, during the term for a pro rata fee. We will endeavour to change sessions on request but this may incur an extra charge. In Transition, whilst attendance is compulsory on all five mornings per week, afternoon sessions may be added on a similar basis. Sessions are priced at £17.75 per morning in the Nurseries. Lunchtimes and Afternoons are £4.75 and £13.00 per session respectively. Detailed Fee Schedules appear on the accompanying sheets. Fees are payable by Direct Debit on the second Monday of each half term. A charge of £20.00 will be levied for failed Direct Debit payments. The College reserves the right to exclude children from attendance whilst fees remain unpaid. CHILD CARE VOUCHERSThe School will accept Child Care vouchers in payment of Nursery Fees or will invoice parent’s employers direct. The School’s contract, however, remains with the Parents, who will be liable for settlement of Fees in the event that Child Care vouchers or employer invoices are unpaid for any reason. CASUAL SESSIONSCasual extra sessions can be booked subject to availability. Please enquire direct to Nursery staff. Rates per session (we regret these sessions do not qualify for Nursery Education Funding) are as follows:
INSURANCEInsurance cover against personal injury and dental accident is included: Please note that cover does not extend to medical expenses UNIFORMAll children in the Nurseries and Transition must wear the official School burgundy sweatshirt and grey T-shirt. Samples and supplies of the sweatshirt, £13.00 for sizes 60, 65 and 70cm (24", 26" & 28"), and T-shirt, £8.00 for sizes aged 3-4 or 5-6, are available from the school office. WRAPAROUND & HOLIDAY CAREFurther details of Before and After School Care are available on request, as are those of our Holiday Club which extends our provision of childcare beyond term time. These out of school care arrangements must be booked separately once registration formalities have been completed. Appropriate forms may be obtained from the school office. GOING ONTO SCHOOLWhat happens after Transition? We naturally hope that the children will go into a Reception Class either at the College (girls) or at Ridgeway (boys) and we will be delighted to show you more when you are ready. We do realise that there will be children who will leave us to enter other schools whether maintained or independent. Knowing when these moves will happen helps us to manage your child's development whilst in our care and ensures a suitable place at the appropriate time. Transfer from Transition into a Reception Class can be no later than the beginning of the term after the fifth birthday in order to meet statutory requirements. FEES SCHEDULE - Beehive, Busy Bees & Honeycomb Nurseries - Academic Year 2010-2011AttendanceChildren must attend for a minimum of two morning sessions per week. Parents wishing to opt for further morning and/or lunch and afternoon sessions may do so, subject to availability, with each session of the week being separately bookable. Nursery Education Funding (NEF)Our setting has been accepted by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) as an appropriate provider of Early Years Education. As at September 2010, all three year olds are entitled to funded part time nursery education of 3 hours per day, paid by Nursery Education Funding (NEF) from the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. As our daily provision exceeds the minimum entitlement met by NEF (and it is not possible to separate this out), any funding received will be set against the fees due. To qualify for funding, it is only necessary to provide proof of age (e.g. a birth certificate) and to sign a Parental Declaration form (available from the office). The eligible birthdates indicated below are those provided by the RBWM and are based on the current funding obligations of the local authority. These may change in the future and the dates are to be used as a guide only.
Select the number of sessions of each type required and read off the fee according to the number of weeks per term. Where attendance is selected for Morning and Afternoon Sessions on the same day, it is necessary to add a Lunchtime Session for the same day and for the child to come with a packed lunch on that day. We regret that there is no facility for providing food within or for the Nurseries. Sibling DiscountYounger brothers or sisters of pupils at the College, Claires Court or Ridgeway who attend all day for five days per week are entitled to a sibling discount of £180 per term. Transfer into TransitionTransfer into Transition will be in the term after the child's 4th birthday. FEES SCHEDULE - TransitionAttendanceThe Transition Classes operate on a five mornings per week basis offering academic continuity and development in the pupils' work. Parents wishing to opt for lunch and/or afternoon sessions may do so, subject to availability, with each day of the week being bookable separately. Nursery Education Funding (NEF)Our setting has been accepted by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) as an appropriate provider of Early Years Education. As at April 2010, all four year olds are entitled to three terms of free part time nursery education. As our provision exceeds the minimum entitlement met by NEF (and it is not possible to separate this out), any funding received will be set against the fees due.
Select the first line for 5 Mornings and then the number of sessions of each other type required. Read off the fees according to the number of weeks per term. Where attendance is selected for Afternoon Sessions it is necessary to add a Lunchtime Session for that day. Fees will be invoiced for each half term. Half terms differ in length and fees will be invoiced pro-rata. Sibling DiscountYounger brothers or sisters of pupils at the College, Claires Court or Ridgeway who attend all day for five days per week are entitled to a sibling discount of £180 per term. OFSTED & ISI Inspection ReportsA copy of the most recent Ofsted or ISI inspection reports is available on request from the School Office or from the School's website at www.clairescourt.com. As at 24 January 2005 our setting was judged to provide "high quality nursery education overall which enables children to make very good progress towards the early learning goals". In February 2008, the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) described Claires Court as "a happy school, which [children] enjoy attending and where they grow academically, socially and morally." |
