Claires Court Sails through to win

Claires Court sailors were invited to take part in a team sailing race at Goring Thames Sailing Club on Saturday 3 July and succeeded so well they came first! . Our team consisted of Jack Ward with George Saunders, Charlie Pritchard with Sam Clark and Jordan Flynn with George Goss. The object was to get as many of one's own boats at the front of the fleet to win a round. Six other teams competed all sailing against each other.
The programme finished with an individual race for all the competitors and this was divided up into two heats followed by the final, which saw Jack Ward and George Saunders sail through the fleet after a poor start to take first place by four seconds. So a very satisfying day's sailing and a clean sweep for the School!
