Details of our school fees are to be found here. Nursery fees are structured slightly differently to main school. The Bursar's Office is always happy to assist with any enquiries you may have over tuition fees and ancillary charges.
All tuition and Nursery fees are collected by direct debit from a current bank account maintained in the UK. For a direct debit instruction form, click here (PDF File).
Tuition fees are payable by Direct Debit, either by instalment or in full, on or before the first day of term. Please note that we accept settlement by cash or by cheque only by prior arrangement. You will find details of the instalment scheme (which offers a £60 discount per term to participants) below.
If you do not pay by instalment, a discount is offered for payment of the Fee Invoice within 7 days of issue at the end of the preceding term. This discount is shown below.

Fees for Years R to 8 include all text books, stationery and games transport together with any educational outings that may be organised.
Tuition for 4 year olds and “wraparound” childcare for other ages, outside of the timetable, may qualify under the Inland Revenue rules for employer support via Childcare Vouchers. Please apply to the School Accountant for details.
The Year 6 fee includes the cost of a residential study week held during the course of the academic year.
Fees for Years 9, 10, 11 and the Sixth Form include games transport but exclude text books, related course material and educational outings which are charged for separately.
All Fees include personal and dental accident insurance but exclude charges for public examinations, individual Remedial Unit tuition, individual musical instrument tuition, social outings and certain extra-curricular activities.
There is a reduction of £180 per term for the first younger sibling, £360 for the second, £540 for the third and £720 for the fourth and succeeding siblings, whether brother or sister, concurrently at the School (but excluding those in The Nursery).
Fees and charges are notified by invoice at the end of each term. Payment is due on or before the first day of the succeeding term. An administration charge is levied for late payment.
Parents must give a full term's notice in writing to the Head before withdrawing a pupil from the School or from any chargeable extra subject, otherwise a term's fees will be payable in lieu of such notice.
This is a non-returnable Registration Fee and is payable when the Application Form is sent to the School. Its acceptance records that the name of a pupil is on the Entry List but does not constitute an offer of a place at the School.
This deposit is payable when the Acceptance Form is returned to the School. £300 is held against fees payable on the first day of term, the remaining £200 is refundable against the Leaver's Statement. The deposit is forfeit when an accepted place is not taken up. No additional deposit is required where younger siblings of current pupils are being registered, but this initial deposit will then be refundable against the younger (and succeeding) pupil's Leaver's Statement.
Many extras are optional and may be kept to a minimum. Extras are normally itemised, together with the charges noted above, on a Fee Invoice sent out at the end of each term. Some extras are due in advance of their provision, others in arrears; wherever possible this will be indicated. Some extra curricular activities (evening/out of school/holiday) may incur an extra charge (see also below).
Personal and dental accident insurance is included within the tuition fee.
The School's visiting musical staff charge parents direct for an individual's programme of study. Please refer to such tutors for their contractual terms.
Please see the Coach Services Section.
Parents of pupils at Ridgeway, Claires Court and the Sixth Form are invited to join The Society; parents of pupils at The Nursery and The College may join The College PTA. Membership is per family.
Food provided at School must be paid for at the time of purchase.
Because of their nature, any payment for these is normally identified and required separately. Please note that the evening activity programme is suspended at the beginning and end of each term and at certain other times (e.g. Speech Day).
A full term's notice, in writing to the Head, is required for the withdrawal of a pupil from the school or from any chargeable extra subject, otherwise a term's fees will be payable in lieu of such notice.
Payment of the School Fee Invoice is due in full on or before the first day of the term to which it refers. As an alternative, you may make payment by variable direct debit which offers simplicity, safety and convenience. With this method, payment is made automatically to the School in accordance with an instruction completed by you and held at your Bank. There is no need for separate cheques to cover termly extras nor for new instructions as and when fee levels change. You — as the payer — remain in total control. You can cancel the authority simply by informing your bank. You will be notified in advance of any changes in amounts and dates of payments. Should you have any query about any payment contact your Bank. They can make an immediate refund.
There are 12 payments in the full scheme. Nine of these will be made monthly, at the beginning of each month, from July 2011 to March 2012. The first three payments (July, August and September) will cover the Autumn Term tuition fees, the second (October, November and December) the Lent Term, the third (January, February and March) the Summer Term. The three remaining payments will coincide with the first day of each term (8 September 2011, 9 January 2012 and 18 April 2012) and will collect any outstanding extras as notified by the Fee Invoice sent out at the end of the previous term.
Parents who participate fully in the scheme will be entitled to a £60 discount on each term's tuition fee. In respect of siblings. All siblings (but excluding those in The Nursery) must be included. Arrangements to “part-pay” can be made but will not qualify for discount. The scale below shows monthly direct debits by Year:

The monthly direct debit will be further reduced by £60 in respect of the first qualifying younger sibling (i.e. £180 per term), £120 for the second, £180 for the third, £240 for the fourth and succeeding siblings, by £230 if qualifying for Nursery Education Funding, and by pro rata amounts for holders of scholarships and bursaries. In order to comply with banking regulations, collections will be made by individual pupil, rather than family group.
If you wish to join this scheme, then please contact the Bursar's Office (01628 411484) and ask for a direct debit instruction form to be sent to you. You will need to complete this form appropriately and return it to the same office.
Once we have received your completed instruction, a process of approval and acceptance must take place with your bank, which also involves giving you at least 14 working days written notice of the first collection. Instructions which are received too late to be implemented within the correct time scale, will be held over to the next appropriate date and if commencement is delayed the discount will be reduced by £20 for each month of delay. Where direct debits are not met, there will be an administrative charge of £20 in respect of each failure. Your instruction will remain in force until you cancel it with the School, your Bank or Building Society, or until the final Leaver's Statement upon departure.
