They believe that a passion in film making starts early and that the future of high-quality film-making in Britain depends on the exposure of young people to film-making at an earlier age than is generally assumed. So our day was designed to take their enthusiasm to make films, and give them the confidence, knowledge and equipment so to do. During the day of filmmaking, the boys learned about teamwork, and they split into smaller groups to produce their own production companies - there is no better way to learn how to make films than DOING it! So what follows are the 10 shot films (films in 10 shots, nothing to do with their length!) of the various companies created on the day, and what we want you to do is to watch and help make the people's choice of Best Film. You can see what the professionals thought, but as we have learned from shows like the X factor - ‘do the professionals know everything?’ The Film Academy will be back in 2010 for the new Year 10's - who of course now have a set of benchmark films against which to test their creative skills. |
