Hannah Wardman, Year 10, was one of six from her (non school) drama group who were chosen to take part in a Young Directors' Workshop.
Over the course of two weeks either individually or in pairs, they had to audition and cast a group of younger children and then put on a short play. Working on her own, Hannah wrote a short play based around fairytale characters that the children would already know. She then sourced simple costume items and set up the stage. Her group really gelled and their performance made the audience laugh.Hannah was awarded the ‘Young Director of the Year’ clapper board and has been offered a position as a paid helper from September!
