    Year 6 boys were given the outline of a young child’s Christmas story and given the task to create their own Christmas story. Once the story was written they had to make it look visually appealing and there were some very impressive results.

    This term the boys have been studying Romans and Celts in History and at Ufton Court they got the chance to become warriors of the time as well as look at Roman pottery, weapons and everyday items.

  • A Strong Win at the Science Championships

    This week some of our Year 5 and Year 6 boys travelled to Chesham Prep School to take part in the final heat of The National Inter-School Science Championships.

    The selection quiz was taken by all the boys and the top scoring boys moved onto a 'final round'. The top three in each year group have worked at lunch times to increase their scientific knowledge.

    Year 6 Boys and Girls spent four fantastic days at a PGL base in Osmington Bay.  With a mixture of field studies and physical activities, the pupils fully immersed themselves in all aspects of the trip.

  • Juniors Tour for Hockey and Rugby

    On Thursday 9 November, Junior Girls in Years 5 and 6 and Juniors Boys in Year 6 embarked on a hockey and rugby tour to Newquay. The boys soon interacted with the girls, playing a humorous game of ‘dead ants’ in the service station. The next stop was at St Peter’s school in Exeter, where both boys and girls played their first Hockey and Rugby fixture. The girls were very excited and full of energy ready for their match.

    This week Year 2 boys and girls went on the minibus to Stubbings Church for Remembrance Day. They visited the memorial to remember those who died during World War 1 and 2 to enhance their learning about Remembrance as well as their studies on church features.

    The turnout for this year’s annual PTA Chess Festival held on Saturday 11 November at Claires Court Junior Boys was fantastic, with 25 schools coming together. The winners on the day were to be rewarded with a place in the London Championships in December.
