Claires Court Maidenhead

from Nursery to Sixth Form

Santa, Elves and Goats!

It’s been a busy day of festive celebrations across the school. At Claires Court Nursery, Girls and Sixth Form, the pupils had a very special visitor make an appearance, who even brought the snow with him! Santa arrived in style on a tractor, greeted by our excited children dressed in their Christmas jumpers.

However, Santa had so many gifts to give everyone, that he needed some help. Thankfully Year 10 transformed into elves to help Mr Claus give presents to the younger pupils, singing christmas songs with the girls and boys and they then went on to serve the Christmas lunch to pupils and staff.

Unknown to the children, just around the corner Mr Claus had set up a petting farm for the children to enjoy. Unfortunately the Reindeer were having a well deserved rest before Christmas, so with him came guinea pigs, ducks, goats, chickens and ponies!

However the Year 10 elves work didn’t end there. Salvation Army Hamper CollectionThe Salvation Army then appeared with Major Kim Wilson, Major Steve Wilson and Mr Don Steadman, to collect the generous donations made by pupils, and with the help of our elves they loaded the hampers into their van.  The charity will now redistribute them to those in most need this Christmas.

Margaret Heywood, Head of Senior Girls said;

“We have been blown away with the generosity this year from our pupils. They have embraced what Christmas is about by bringing gifts for local families who are in less fortunate circumstances. This will make a huge difference to so many families and we are glad to be a part of that.”

There are plenty of photos in our gallery so make sure you take a look.
