Music & Drama - Creativity and Expression - key skills for lifeThe creative arts play a very important role at Claires Court. 
MusicMusic enjoys a high profile and most of our boys take advantage of the extensive instrument tuition available. We work closely with our musicians at The College and our choral and musical groups participate in a number of external concerts with other schools and organisations. In addition to the school orchestra and choir, both much in demand locally, boys an also channel their musical talents into our various traditional, jazz and rock ensembles. All pupils have the chance to study for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music grade exams. DramaAs with music, we encourage boys to participate in drama either for enjoyment or more seriously as an academic discipline. We put on a range of productions each year from big shows to improvisation pieces. The School has its own lighting rig and sound equipment which boys learn to use. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, our productions give the boys a tremendous sense of achievement and work wonders on their self-confidence and self-reliance. |
