Girl's schools have seen a surge in popularity in recent years thanks to mounting evidence that girls achieve better academic results when taught in a single-sex environment. Here at The College we see other advantages too. Our environment fosters self-belief and confidence and encourages girls to achieve their full potential. Along with our brother schools, Ridgeway and Claires Court, we have developed a unique co-ordinated approach. Girls and boys are taught in an optimum single-sex environment yet also have the opportunity to take part in a mixed school and extra-curricular activities, outings and field trips where they will learn to work with, and respect, each other's abilities. ![]() We have wider responsibilities too - school should be about more than academic results, important though these are. We offer our girls opportunities to discover other talents and interests, to develop a sense of responsibility and the ability to take decisions, to make friends and to have fun. We are proud of out reputation as a friendly, caring school - small enough to provide a supportive and encouraging atmosphere, and large enough to offer access to a superb range of facilities either here on site or at Ridgeway or at Claires Court. We hope this prospectus gives you a taste of life at The College. You can find out more by visiting our website at www.clairescourt.com. Better still, let me show you The College at work during a typical day. For a personal appointment, please contact our School Secretary on (01628) 411472. I look forward to your visit.
