from Nursery to Sixth Form

Mrs Kirby's words Autumn week 3

Another week has flown by with so much achieved and so much to look forward to. This week G6 enjoyed learning about etiquette rules for ‘middle class’ women in Victorian Times; they disagreed with the rule ‘never read in company’ but agreed with the rule ‘never make a noise when eating’! Year 1 went on a materials hunt around school in their science lessons. And G2 received a letter from Frustrated Felt Tips and Cranky Colouring Pencils. Our Roles of Responsibility at Junior Boys and Junior Girls have been voted for and announced; we are looking forward to seeing what they accomplish this year.

SPORTS NEWS

Well done to the U10 Netball Team who won their first Tournament; great start to the season Girls!

Our U11 A Rugby Team played at Saracens’ StoneX Stadium in a very talented festival; to come away with 2 wins and a draw was a great way to start off the season - well done boys!

Next week we look forward to welcoming Bronze Olympic Medalist Ellie Rayer (Claires Court Alumnae) back to School to visit some of the pupils. Ellie is well-known to our School community and an inspiration to us all. We also look forward to celebrating Harvest festival at both Junior Boys and Junior Girls. This year we will be supporting the Baby Bank.

Last week, it was brought to my attention that our communications which are sent out via our database are being sent from multiple email addresses rather than our school address (school@clairescourt.com). We are working hard to fix this problem in order for our communication to be clearer and easier to find. We are also working hard to streamline our communication so that you are not bombarded with too many emails and messages; our weekly Class Bulletins will be used for reminders for example.

I hope to see many of you next week at our first productions next week.

Stay well and have a lovely weekend.
