Mrs Kirby's words Autumn week 9

At Junior Boys this week we have been focusing on the excellent assemblies Miss Dockerill presented to all Juniors.
The theme of ‘Kindness’ is always central to our thinking here but it never hurts to have a reminder. The ‘Jamboard’ was pleasingly soon filled up with amazing ideas and ways in which we can all be considerate, helpful and supportive of each other. We were then all absolutely thrilled with the wonderful new ‘Kindness Rabbits’ that Mrs Seligman crafted. The recipients were truly honoured to be the first to receive them. The retiring rabbits are taking pride of place in the Meeting Room as a reminder to us all of these beautiful values.
During the assembly, it was also great to listen to two boys perform on the piano. The opportunities the boys get to explore skills, talents and interests in our inclusive and varied programmes of Music, Art, Drama, Chess, Forest Schools and Sport are incredible and it has been a joy to see the Reception to Year 2 boys already hard at work learning their nativity lines.
On Wednesday Year 6 had a superb adventure away on the rugby pitches. Their previous efforts, application of teamwork and individual commitment, alongside the learning from the tour has really paid off securing a stunning set of performances.
Have a lovely weekend.
