Mrs Kirby's words Lent week 3

This week has seen many girls and boys enjoying different challenges and exciting learning opportunities. Challenges during Forest School have included learning about friction and how the boys, girls and teachers can successfully climb up a slope with falling down… you can guess how that ended up!

Our Maths team were challenged at the Oratory Maths Competition yesterday but ended up overall winners! Well done to Caitlin, Chloe, Ben and Ishaan!

There have been fixtures this week and I am always impressed with how the boys and girls approach competing against other schools, how they work together as a team and how well they win and lose. From swimming galas, football matches to netball matches, CC Juniors have done very well this week!

On Wednesday the Year 3 pupils were treated to The Children’s Concert Live in Guildford. The boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed this; how nice to have music back in our lives!

A special occasion which the Year 4 girls celebrated this week was Claodagh reaching 2 years seizure-free. Clodagh has Dravet Epilepsy; she has done incredibly well and thoroughly deserved the party and gifts she received.

Over the coming days, we will be sending out communication regarding Parents’ Evening which will be held during the week of 14 February. Once again, we will offer a mixture of face to face appointments and Google Meets.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
