Mrs Heywood's Words Autumn 10
For those of you who went to the show it was “Unforgettable” and a great opportunity to feature a diverse talent pool and showcase artistic mediums such as singing, dancing and our very own master of ceremonies Tom May.
What an end to last week, two highly competitive charity netball matches and a great way for staff and pupils to get active, enjoy themselves and raise funds for Children in Need. Spectators observed that not all rules of the game were adhered to in this match and it was certainly well supported vocally by pupils and fellow staff members all shouting words of encouragement. Over £100 pounds was raised and it was a fast, highly competitive and skillful game although at times the fancy dress costumes restricted staff movement around the court.
For those of you who went to the show it was “Unforgettable” and a great opportunity to feature a diverse talent pool and showcase artistic mediums such as singing, dancing and our very own master of ceremonies Tom May. To see so many pupils engaged in the production and maintaining their creative lives on and off the stage and let’s not forget those show stopping h'orderves. It was a joyous performance and I was delighted to see so many performers from Senior Girls and my congratulations to all of them and many thanks to the staff involved.
I am looking forward to many Year 11s and their parents attending the Sixth Form Open Evening on Tuesday 28 and for those who love music do please come to the Senior Girls Autumn Concert on Thursday 30 when some of our great musicians and singers will be on show.
Fingers crossed for our swimming stars who are competing in the ISA London West Regional Championships today and battling for places in the national finals as well as trying to win their regional team competitions.
