Claires Court Maidenhead

from Nursery to Sixth Form

Mrs Heywood's Words Lent 2

Many thanks to the all the pupils, parents and staff who supported our teams at the Maidenhead Lions Swimarathon competition last Saturday at the Magnet Leisure Centre.

The pupils put on an excellent show and the teams did amazingingly well by continuously swimming for an hour. A special mention goes to our youngest Senior swimmer on the day, Lucy in Year 7.

Our Monday the Senior Girls Assembly was taken up with the Y12 A Level Geography group delivering an assembly that considers the importance of Human Rights, and what happens when basic human rights are denied.

We had an excellent turn out at the Y10 Post 16 Landscape Talk led by Mrs Rogers and Helen Cole our external speaker about the continuing changes in developments in post 16 Education focusing on the range of courses and options that are now available for the 16-18 age group. Please remember if you need any further help, support, or guidance do not hesitate to get in touch.

Whilst our G11 pupils may have earned a small break, their GCSE work continues apace with their second Maths iGCSE on Tuesday morning and English iGCSE next Wednesday. They will also be receiving feedback and advice from subject teaches via their academic report on Wednesday 24 January.

Some excellent sport results to kick the new term off with our Under 14s defeating the Marist at hockey, and Under 18s Netball squad winning against Ranelagh.
