Claires Court Maidenhead

from Nursery to Sixth Form

Mrs Heywood's Words Lent 7

A taste of Summer last weekend and a wonderful record breaking first few days of weather back at school.

G8 had the opportunity to work with each other on team building activities at SportsAble in Braywick on Monday afternoon. The girls worked collaboratively with other girls across the year group in various activities such as wheelchair basketball which was led by adults with varying disabilities.

We are looking forward to our assembly on Monday to kick start next week where G8 will be performing their drama classwork to the rest of the school. To celebrate ‘World Book Day’ on Thursday 7 March our dedicated librarians have come up with a cunning plan of hiding book covers around the school, so don’t forget to enter, keep your eyes peeled and look out for clues.

Looking ahead, we have the Ski Information Evening on Monday 4 March and please note the G9 parents evening is on Wednesday 6 March when core subject teachers, subject leads and senior staff will be available for consultation between 6.00pm and 8.00pm. There will also be an opportunity to discuss The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme running during Activity Week at the end of the summer term, with Mr Wilding, and Elizabeth Pate, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Operations Officer.

Our G8 BBC School Reporters will be out filming on Wednesday in Maidenhead Town Centre and we welcome prospective parents on Thursday to the Open Morning. As ever I wish our guests the opportunity to see us at work, in lessons, teachers and pupils working together.

We have high hopes for our U14 netball squads who will be travelling up to York today to represent Claires Court and the ISA London West Region at the ISA National Tournament.

Please note the upcoming PTA Second Hand Uniform Sale on Tuesday 12 March.
