Mr Richard's words Summer Week 10

We had sports day this week and I would like to say a big thank you to all our students who took part. There were some amazing performances from our elite athletes. The Year 9 hurdles race in particular was amazing!
Every year though there are those performances that stand out for the levels of effort and determination, and there were plenty of those. It takes courage, grit and determination to put your name forward for the 1,500m and 800m races in any year but, after the inaction of lockdown, it is even more impressive in 2021. An enormous well done to those of you who excelled and those of you who stood up and entered. I would also like to thank all of you parents for braving the conditions, we almost made it through before the rain started! It was lovely to have you back on site; long may it continue.
As our focus turns towards the final week of term and next academic year, we would like to invite you into an online information meeting next week Thursday 8 July at 6pm. We will cover our revised Activity Week programme, uniform/equipment expectations for next academic year and some of our whole school priorities going forward. It will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions. It has been a strange year but we have come through it together. We now need to try and put the trauma of Covid behind us as much as possible and look towards building on our strengths and making Claires Court School an even better place to be.
I hope you have a relaxing weekend.
Mr Richards
