Mr Richards' words Autumn week 9

At the end of my words last week I mentioned I was off to a Waitrose drinks festival, well what a way to spend an evening; I can highly recommend it! Bear with me for my analogy here but for those not in the know, all of the Waitrose drinks suppliers attend a conference - with samples. During the event you have the opportunity to talk to the people about their products, and what comes through is the passion, care and attention that goes into each bottle. When you combine this with people who are just as passionate about listening (and sampling), you get a wonderful way to while away a couple of hours.
We held our learning review of the school last week, and I am delighted to let you know that, whilst we strive every single day to improve the education your young person receives, we are in a position of strength. We saw some truly fantastic lessons from our committed and dedicated staff. It was such a pleasure to watch teachers who were just as passionate about their subjects as those suppliers I spoke to at the weekend. When this is combined with young people who want to learn and work hard, you have the recipe for a school that is really going places. We also held student panel interviews with every year group. We were so proud of how well they spoke to us about what they love about the school and what they want improved. I know that we have a really good school but we also know there are some things to improve to be the best.
Today is Open Morning on site again and we continue to look to the future. It was a joy to see so many students and parents looking to join the Claires Court family.
I hope you have a great weekend.
