The performances were so well delivered and received with such joy. The two choir numbers were particularly moving; seeing so many students involved and enjoying their music was magical. I would like to thank Mr Gravett; our music provision goes from strength to strength under his leadership. He has got the perfect balance between excellence and participation. We are quality and everybody is welcome.

Charity week has been in full swing this week. The students spent the last week working on what events they would deliver. We had the CCF throwing sponges at teachers, the Year 10s selling waffles and the fantastic Year 7 tea party. Thank you to all the parents that came along and enjoyed a cup of tea and chance to get to know each other. Events like this do not happen without the passion and enthusiasm of the students who devised and delivered a great event. Ms Irons, Ms Mogal, Mr Larkin and, of course, Ms Austin-Smith worked so hard to make this little event so lovely. FInally, we had the Year 7 and Year 8 sponsored walk on Thursday - in the snow! The minions, complete with goggles and their very own Gru, were a real highlight. Just another example of what makes our school such a nice place to learn and grow. 

Next week we will have the final assembly that we plan to see a return of the commemoration service. We are able to have all the students back together in the hall, which is great news but we have really enjoyed having parents join us online throughout the pandemic. So we would be delighted if you could join us again on a Google meet, starting at 3pm on Thursday.  We will celebrate all the wonderful things that have happened both in lessons and in the co-curricular sphere along with the normal bits of entertainment and sing-alongs. Please look out for the email with the joining instructions early next week.
