Mr Rayer's Words Summer 1

Welcome back, as always the weather is glorious now we have returned to school, very unlike the weather over the holiday.
However, there were very good reports from the ski trip, rowing and sailing camps that were all successful (my best wishes to the two boys with broken bones for a swift return to health). Year 10 are at present travelling to Ypres for their History experience, good luck to them.
Year 11 start their practical exams next week with Drama and IGCSE ICT exams, now is the time to shine!
As always a very busy term so please ensure that the messages we send are received and read, many thanks.
On Thursday in assembly I read a passage from the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony, here's a small snippet:
How we all came from the same place. How we are all made of the same stuff- whether it be DNA or star-dust. How, as the Indigenous people of Australia tell us, we are all custodians of the same world - the world we share together.
A simple message of respect for our world and each other, a great thought for the new term.
