Mr Rayer’s Words Autumn 13
My main message to the boys at our assembly on Monday was a quote from Garry Herbert, as he steered the Searle brothers to Olympic Gold at Barcelona: “If not now, when! If not you, who!” A reminder that we need to take all the opportunities offered to us.
Watching the U12 House Rugby competition I was astounded at the quality of play and the commitment of the boys. Well done to Ridgeway who won the A/B competition and Kelly who won the C team competition. A great example of seizing the moment.
I look forward to seeing parents at both the Senior Rugby Dinner this Friday and the Carol Service next Tuesday, two great occasions for the end of term.
My thanks to all who have been very kind in offering me their best wishes for my retirement. My journey with Claires Court has been incredible and I know that I can relax in the full knowledge that I am passing the care of the boys to an amazing team led by James Wilding. I will be watching the progress of the boys and I wish them good luck and success in all their endeavours.
Finally I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and that your holiday is peaceful.
