Mr Wilding’s Words Summer 1

Welcome back one and all to the Summer Term that seems as appropriately named as it could be, with the weather leading up to and over Easter helping us leave the winter blues well behind.
On Wednesday morning, we were delighted to welcome back Mr John Rayer to the school to see the 'Friendship Bench' now installed outside the Sports Hall. The importance of friendship was a key driver for John during his time as Head at the school, and he was as delighted as we were to open the 'Friendship Bench' for use at the start of the term. President of the PTA, Mrs Phyllis Avery was on hand to make the presentation of the generous gift to Mr Rayer from parents in the school, to mark their thanks and respect for his contribution to their sons' education during his headship.
We are also delighted to welcome to the staff three new colleagues who are already adding well to our tapestry of school life….
Mrs Mary Tarr - New School Receptionist
Mrs Tarr moved to Maidenhead from Durban, South Africa, where she was the school receptionist at Westville Girls High School.
Mrs Joscelin Lothian - New Head of Maths
Mrs Lothian was previously Deputy Head of Maths at Chesham Grammar School, and previous to that worked with Mr Young at Chalfont Community College.
Mrs Jenny Ging - English Department & 10D
Mrs Ging was previously a senior teacher at Garth Hill in Bracknell, where she was Head of Year with 360 pupils in her care.
And finally, we are delighted to hear from our Librarian, Ms Gabriella Majoros, of her engagement to Alessandro Senese...congratulations!
