Mr Wilding's words summer week 6
Our final week of GCSE assessments is concluded , and our celebration of Year 11s academic, pastoral, leadership and community successes will have taken place on this Friday morning. It's a huge tribute to the fortitude of the boys who have led them this year that our Head Boy, Charlie, his deputy, Matthew, senior prefects Henry and William have become regular fixtures on our Open Evening circuit, performing brilliantly as the pupil voice speaking of their school and their 'growth' within.
After half-term we expected that Year 10 and below come back into a reduced bubble school, with new experiences for the remainder of the Summer term to enjoy. Subject rooms reappear, the sports hall and adjacent rooms come back into general use and a fairer share of all of our spaces will arise. There will be new in-house catering arrangements to look forward to, and so much more of course even if the sun remains shy!
And finally, as we saw at today's Assembly, former pupil Oli Moore's first commercial film is now out, a short advert for the pioneering ecology work of 4 Plymouth University students replanting the sea grass in Plymouth Sound. Oli is a remarkable underwater commercial cameraman, with a love of the wild, and I commend his work to you https://youtu.be/5_06U4kQmkU!
