Mr Wilding's words Lent week 7

Firstly, thank you to everyone who was able to prioritise attending school on-line when school was closed last Friday week. Whilst the wind also took out some local electricity supplies for staff and pupils, it is so nice to know the tech is in place when that happens!
This second half of this term has almost six weeks of work and activity, so we do expect to be busy throughout. The first of the national sports tournaments (Under 15 Rugby) took place in Cambridge yesterday, with the Claires Court squad making the finals, losing narrowly to Finborough School 5-12. It's nice to recognise the quality that Claires Court is able to field at National level year on year.
I am also delighted to report the return of our artists to the V&A in London to support their studies this week, and for Year 7 going up the Pang Valley next week - it is so lovely we have these field trips back on schedule.
And finally, if you are so moved, please join us next Tuesday evening for our parents' briefing & consultation on our Relationships & Sex Education programme. Our lead speaker is Marilyn Hawes, who is to set the landscape we currently work in, supported by Nicola Bose, School Nurse, to show how specialist teaching in this area looks like, and together with other lead pastoral staff we will bring a clearer view on why we teach things and when.
