Kelly House teachers pose for the Victors’ photograph after this week’s official opening of the House Basketball competition - led brilliantly by Miss Lowry whose lay up skills prove second to none!
I’ll be reporting more fully next week on our Year 11 Celebration ceremony, taking place today (Friday) though Mrs Selzer’s posting on Social Media of her last lesson with her Year 11 Biology class on Ray Mill Island this week deserves an early airing - we have so much to thank her for - as my title slide highlights - never underestimate ‘The Power of a Teacher’!!!
And finally, thanks to Dr Dunstan, we have an amazing additional set of reading books added for our fiction reading challenge for the second half of term; Lit in Colour was created in 2020 by Penguin Books UK and equality think tank The Runnymede Trust and provides all sort of additional opportunities for young readers to explore new insights through other young peoples’ eyes. As ever, there are plenty of additional rewards available, as well as house points, for those willing to rise to the challenge.
Have a great weekend everyone, here’s hoping the weather shines!
