Mr Rayer's Words Autumn Term Week 1
I hope all have had a restful and relaxing Summer, we are now back and as usual at Claires Court we are very busy. Firstly I would like to congratulate Mrs R Selzer and Mr C Bretherton on their promotions to Deputy Heads and to welcome Dr Loughton (Head of Science), Mr Young (Maths), Mr Mulholland (Head of RS) Mr Perez-Peraita (Spanish) and Mr Gearing ( Rowing) to the school and wish them all well in their new roles. GCSE results (wow) 93.1 % of our boys gained 5 A - C grades and 31.1% gained a and A* s. A great reflection on the hard work of the team (boys, staff and parents) well done to all.
Year 7 have their coaching morning tomorrow and I hope to see as many parents there as possible, Year 8 are travelling to Lulworth Cove on Monday and are then staying for two nights at Osmington Bay for a team building experience. Year 7 parents are invited to a Building Resilience talk next Thursday, in the past it has proven to be very informative and useful. In my first assembly the message focused on ensuring that the boys effort grades are as high as possible, if we can get these right the rest will follow.
The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today. H Jackson Brown, Jr.
