Head's Words Summer Term Week 1
We hope all parents and students had an enjoyable and productive Easter break. Students have returned in a very positive frame of mind ready for the challenges ahead this term.
This week's assembly was based on being in control of their learning, and the importance of having good self esteem. Next Friday afternoon Rachael Williams will be running a 90 minute session on how we can use what we know about the brain to bolster our mental and emotional resilience in preparation for the coming months, when both of these are pushed to the limit. She will cover all the evidence that shows that we can all make a real difference to our mood and emotional/mental state by following some simple rules and procedures, and that a healthy emotional mindset is the key to exam success. We know that this will help many of our students to manage examination stress.
