Heads of Sixth Form Autumn 8
The Sixth Form have returned to school refreshed after their half-term break, even those on the Geography trip to Iceland and the Tall Ships Sailing Trip. A big “thank you” must go to Todd Muil, Matt Hine, Chris Allen and Calum Hayes who gave up their time in the holidays to assist The Lions Club of Maidenhead. The Lions were raising awareness of the events they organise locally to raise funds for local charities and they were absolutely thrilled with our students’ efforts. As a thank you, the Lions club want to donate £100 to a charity of the students’ choosing. Here is a great photo of our “Friendly Lions”.
Mr Giles continues to send the UCAS applications and offers from universities are already coming in for those eager students. It should now be a priority for all students to ensure they complete their applications as soon as possible. Year 12 Media Students and Sixth Form Art Students have this week been on enlightening Trips to the British Film Institute and the Wallace Collection to further their learning. Mrs Rogers is looking forward to seeing the parents of Year 12 students on Thursday 16 November at the careers resources evening.
