Head of Sixth Form Autumn 10
On 16 November our Year 12 Media Studies students embarked on an adventure to London to partake in an “Introduction to Representation” study day at the British Film Institute on the Southbank. Students learnt about multiple representations in the media from gender to race and ethnicity. Excellent resources and notes were taken by students to enable them to understand this complex study area in order to prepare them for their examination this year.
The Sixth Form did a fantastic job at Sixth Form Open Evening on Tuesday. We were hugely grateful to all the students who gave up their time to help out. We could not run this evening without their help. We had more than 90 families visit, who were very complimentary about the quality of our students who they described as confident, personable and articulate.
