Mrs Wilding’s Words Summer 2

In the three nursery rooms the children have settled very well and had a busy time both indoors and out. Some lovely animal prints have been made, singing with Mrs Challis sounded wonderful and they coped remarkably well with the Open Day on Thursday.
Transition children have been sowing cress seeds in the shape of their first initial, have planted sunflower seeds and looked at the sequence of a plant life cycle.
During the week commencing 30 April the nursery children will be learning about the life cycle of a frog, the colour green, the number 2 and the letter h. Any small toys incorporating a frog or green would be ideal as their “Show and Tell” item this week.
Transition children will continue learning about plants and growing and the letter l.
Reminders
Wednesday morning will be class photo day so if this is not one of your usual attendance days and you would like your child to be included in the photo please bring your child in at the normal time and collect by noon.
If your child is leaving Claires Court Nursery at the end of this term please ensure that you put notice in writing as soon as possible but at the latest by half term. Children moving into Claires Court reception classes do not need to do this.
Please remember to put ice packs into the lunch box as we do not store the boxes in refrigerators.
Although the weather is getting warmer please still send in a coat with your child as the temperature does fluctuate and we do go outside every day.
If your child does ballet on Monday afternoons please send in named pink (girls tend to like these) or black (boys tend to wear this colour) leather ballet shoes.
