Mrs Wilding’s Weekly Words Autumn 1

What an amazing summer we have had and what a joy to still have the sun shining when the term starts and to see all the children outside laughing, playing and thoroughly enjoying themselves.
We have welcomed lots of new children into the three nursery rooms and are pleased to say how well they are settling in. The returning children are showing great kindness to their new friends who have just started at Claires Court. It is lovely to see so many smiling faces and we are looking forward to a really happy term ahead.
The first day of hot lunches in the nursery rooms was a huge success with the children tucking into the food with gusto and some having second helpings! Similarly the Breakfast Club and After School Care food provision was thoroughly enjoyed. Please remember that the last serving of breakfast is at 8.10 to allow for consumption and tidying up before going into the nursery rooms.
The children astounded me this morning in the confident way they managed our fire drill. Well done everyone.
Our topic this term is based on “Seasons – autumn and winter” and it would be lovely if you could support the children’s learning by talking about this at home. The week commencing 10th September the 3 Nursery rooms will continue settling in to the routines of our Nursery and getting to know new friends.
For new parents who have not accepted the invitation to join the “2Simple 2build a profile” please do so to enable us to send our observations of your children by email each half term. We can only send to you after you have accepted. If you are having any problems accepting the invitation please check your spam / junk mail or see your child’s class leader.
Reminder
Please do not send in your child with lace up shoes unless they are able to tie these independently.
