Mrs Wilding's Weekly Words Autumn 5
The local branch of the Salvation Army has collected the boxes of food and personal hygiene items and is extremely grateful for your kindness. I am certain that local families in need will be very appreciative.
The children will be having their photographs taken on Tuesday 9 October and if your child does not attend on Tuesdays you are more than welcome to come in and have the picture taken at 8.30 a.m. These make lovely family Christmas presents.
- We look forward to seeing you at the Fireworks Evening on Saturday 13 October held at the Claires Court Junior Boys site, Ridgeway, as it is always a wonderful family occasion for all ages. Please see posters / ask staff for details.
- Please return any clothes which your children have borrowed from the Nursery and remember to name all outdoor clothing, jumpers, tee shirts, boots and shoes.
The nursery rooms have been full of scarecrows and the aroma of popcorn this week. Mrs Freeman brought in her popcorn machine and the children thoroughly enjoyed watching the transformation of the corn then eating it! The children have talked about harvest and the types of food ripening in the fields at this time of year, and have made seed and tractor pictures using a variety of shapes. I am sure you will enjoy the displays they are all working on together.
The week commencing Monday 8 October the nursery classes will be looking at the colour green, the letter v, the number 5 and the topic “Autumn in the garden” so any related item would be ideal for your child’s “Show and Tell”.
