Mrs Kirby's Words Week 1

From Mrs Ainsley
"What a wonderful first week the children have had. Despite some of the children not being here for over six months, they have come back full of confidence, happiness and an eagerness to explore. We have also had lots of new children start with us and they have all settled well into their new classes.
I would like to thank all the parents for adapting so well to the new drop off and pick up routine. It has run like clockwork, so thank you."
Reminders:
-
Please remember that lunches and snacks must be nut and kiwi free
-
If you send in grapes, please cut into quarters as they are a choking hazard if kept whole.
From Mrs Kirby
"I am always happy to be back at school after the long holidays but this year I haven’t stopped smiling everyday! The pupils, and parents, have taken all the new rules and systems in their stride and made coming back to our site in these strange and uncertain times a really positive experience and very smooth.
Although we are in a pandemic, there are moments during the day that I forget; not because we have become relaxed or complacent, far from it, but because when I look out over the field I see pupils cartwheeling at playtime, sprinting in athletics, climbing on the climbing frame or when I walk around the classrooms, seeing books being read, music being enjoyed, creative learning taking place… for a moment things seem normal.
Welcome to all of our new pupils in Nursery and Junior Girls; mastering one way systems and new procedures can be challenging. Couple this with starting a new school they really should be proud of the way they have settled in.
As always, we continue to evaluate and review things to try to make things safe and easier for all. If you do have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact us. It is at this point that I would like to introduce Amy Townshend who is our new Administrative Assistant for Nursery and Junior Girls. Please email Mrs Townshend for any queries on act@clairescourt.net.
It is so lovely to see everyone in the mornings and after school and I look forward to seeing you next week."
