Mrs Kirby's Words Week 2

From Mrs Ainsley:
"We have had a world of purple this week as this has been our focus colour. There has been purple rice, purple beans and lots of mixing of colours to create purple.
Outside, the children have been enjoying the sunshine. We have been into the pond area to see what might be lurking in the pond or creepy crawlies which are living in our ‘bug hotel’. We discovered lots of seeds from the lilies which the children attempted to count, there were so many!
Next week our focus will be:
-
The story of ‘The Tiger who came to Tea’
-
Orange
-
The number two
-
The letter ‘t’
Have a lovely weekend enjoying the sunshine."
From Mrs Kirby:
"Another week has flown by and it seems like we have been back for months! This week lots of exciting learning has taken place including parachutes being used in Year 5 to help create adjectives to describe rivers; writing instructions on how to wash a Woolly Mammoth in Year 3 and pond exploration in Nursery.
Swimming also started this week for Junior Girls… eventually! Some hadn’t been in a swimming pool for 6 months so this was a very exciting time for all.
Our School continues to have a wonderful buzz and it really is so great to be back!
Have a wonderful weekend."
