Hello everyone,

Our first week of topic work started this week with us looking at the lifecycle of a frog. Each classroom has its own tank with frogspawn in it and for the past few weeks, the children have been eagerly watching for changes. We now have tadpoles and the children feed them their food of mealworms each day.

Each class has been creating frogs and other pond life using a variety of materials and the results have been wonderful. There have also been lots of sensory activities using jelly balls, Gelli Baff and coloured water to recreate a pond.

Reminders

• Please bolt the gate shut when you are using the nursery gate.
• We would prefer it if children do not wear sandals or Crocs during the Summer term. We do a lot of running and climbing and these types of shoes can be a trip hazard.
• If your child is leaving Claires Court at the end of the Summer term, please give notice by the May half term.
