Nursery's words summer week 5
Watch the Nursery children having fun in their PE class at the link below.
Please watch the Nursery Bulletin here.
Hello everyone.
This week the children have been looking at the lifecycle of a butterfly. Our caterpillars arrived last week and the children have been eagerly watching how they are developing. The classic story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle has been a go to this week as our caterpillars have been eating lots and lots and have become very fat. I am sure by the end of next week the caterpillars will have started to spin their cocoons.
The children have enjoyed a variety of activities linked to the topic with symmetry and sequencing being part of the teaching.
I can’t not mention the trips up to Junior Boys this week for The Honeycomb and Beehive class. They had a wonderful time. I know Busy Bees are very excited about their trip. Please look out for a special bulletin next week, dedicated to our Forest School trips. Watch this space!!
Following on from this, I wanted to remind the parents of children who are in Busy Bees, that they will be visiting our Junior Boys Site (satnav postcode SL6 4QQ) on Tuesday 25th May.
Please reread the letter which was sent out so that you are familiar with timings. It is a really exciting morning for the children and the staff can’t wait to take them.
Next week….
- Topic = Butterflies
- Letter = p
- Number = 5
- Colour = purple
Reminders
-
If your child is leaving Claires Court at the end of the Summer term please give notice by the May half term. We still have many of these notices outstanding.
-
Please bolt the gate shut when you are using the nursery gate.
-
We would prefer it if children do not wear sandals or Crocs during the Summer term. We do a lot of running and climbing and these types of shoes can be a trip hazard.
