Nursery's words summer week 7

Welcome back! I hope you had a wonderfully relaxing half-term break. Nursery children have returned with great enthusiasm, helped by the glorious weather we have been experiencing. To see what fun activities we have been taking part in this week, please click here.
Our topic this week has been planting and growing and we had lots to see when we came back. The seeds, beans and bulbs which had been planted in the classroom and outside had flourished with the rain and then the sun we had over half-term. Honeycomb were able to harvest and eat a cucumber and all three classes are eagerly anticipating the harvest of the lettuces, spring onions, carrots and more radishes. We are going to prepare them and eat them with our lunch.
Next week we are very excited at the thought of the Living Eggs arriving. This is a company that provides eggs which we then incubate and watch develop into very cute chicks. It is such an amazing educational tool and the children get so much out of it.
