Nursery's words Autumn week 4

Whilst I write, the Busy Bees class have gone for their local Autumn walk. I went with Beehive earlier and everyone was very excited. Just going for a short walk locally, gave the opportunity to practice a wealth of vocabulary and conversation; something which the new Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum is wanting to see more of.
These opportunities also allow the children to develop their independence, self esteem and confidence as it is taking them out of their comfort zone but in a safe, familiar way.
We collected many natural things which the children have brought back with them, and we will use these in our future learning. Maybe as a Maths activity, a creative activity or simply as a sensory experience.
Watch this space for lots of photos next week of our Forest School visit.

Harvest Festival
This year Claires Court is delighted to work with the local charity “Baby Bank”, an organisation which collects items for distribution to families who are suffering in our local community. They collect and create parcels for those in need. They are currently running low on vital essentials and would be especially grateful for donations.
They would be very grateful to receive any items such as:
- Toothpaste for children and adults
- New feeding bottles
- Nappies
- Baby wipes
- Baby formula
- Nappy creams
- Shampoo for babies, children and adults
We had to postpone our Harvest assembly, but it will now happen on Monday 4 October. Please feel free to bring donations into school.
We wish everyone a lovely weekend.
