Nursery's words Autumn week 7
.jpg)
The Nursery has been filled with colour and sparkle this week whilst we have celebrated the festival of Diwali and prepared for Bonfire Night.
Diwali, the ‘Festival of Lights’, marks the victory of good over evil, light over darkness. The children have listened and acted out the legend of Rama and Sita this week. A legend which tells the story of why we celebrate Diwali and how, even after thousands of years, it is still being celebrated and reminds us to be kind, good, brave and honest.
In the photos I have added this week, you can see that the children have created rangoli patterns. These are created by families and put at the entrance to their homes to welcome people. The diwas which are being made from clay are also used as a symbol of light to guide families home.
Next week...
- It will be the turn of the Beehive class to go to Forest School.
- The children will be looking at ‘reflection’.
