Nursery's words Lent week 1
Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you have had a happy and restful break.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all our new families starting their Claires Court journey with us. Your children have settled well, and we look forward to getting to know them more over the coming weeks.
You will have received an email letting you know that our topic this term is ‘Under, Over, Above and Below’ and how this will be looked at each week. In previous bulletins I have shared with you how lucky we are to have such experienced and qualified staff who can provide such amazing early years education for your children. This is either in planned activities/experiences or through ‘in the moment’ experiences which promote curiosity, excitement and a love of learning. Hopefully the photos you see will give a snapshot of what your children do at nursery.
Also this term, in each bulletin I will share some information/advice about child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage. As nursery staff we are often asked questions and for advice by parents and we thought this would be a good way to share some of what we know and have learnt over the years. I will also add useful websites which you can look at if you would like further reading.
The Forest School sessions have started this week. Please see the email which was sent out this week reminding you of the dates.
Our room for 2 year olds, the Bumble Bees, have been involved in the topic ‘All about Me.’ They created cress heads and pizza people and have enjoyed exploring the environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Please bring a coat every day with hats, scarves and mittens if required.
- Please provide a water bottle and ensure they are named.
- Our uniform is navy bottoms, our blue school polo top and school burgundy jumper. We have some second hand jumpers if you would like to buy one which are £3.
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
