Nursery Words Summer Week 2

What a Wonderful World!
As always, the childrens weekly visit to Forest School gives such an amazing opportunity to see the world differently. The Thicket, where the children explore, allows them to become immersed in their surroundings; this then can give way to their imagination running wild and exploring to their heart's content.
Some children have found these experiences more trickier than others but now everyone is really happy and excited about the visits each week. We can also see how confident children have grown and managing their own risks has become easier. As we have said before, being outside, pushing their own boundaries and physical play, promotes confidence, self esteem and mindfulness.
Aside from Forest School, there has been lots going on back at Nursery. We have been looking at frogs, their lifecycle and looking to see if we can find them in the pond. Interestingly, newts have taken over our pond but newts are great fun and the children love to hold them.
In the two year old room, they have also been learning about frogs.
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Ainsley and the Nursery Team.
