Nursery Words Summer Week 5
This week everyone has thoroughly enjoyed having the chicks. From Nursery to Sixth Form, parents to teachers have all spent countless moments staring at these special little time wasters.
This batch has been very friendly and have been really good when they have been held.
It has obviously prompted conversations on what chickens provide us. On Monday, the children made egg sandwiches; peeling their own eggs, mashing them, making a sandwich and then having a picnic outside.
We will be saying goodbye to the chicks on Friday. Mrs Pemberton and Miss Pridham are rehoming the hens and the cockerels will be going back to Living Eggs who rehome them with small holders who live off the land.
We would like to warmly welcome back Miss Bannister who has returned from maternity leave. She will be supporting Miss Carree in the 2-year-old room.
Wishing everyone a happy and relaxing half-term, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday 6 June.
