Reminders
Please send in your child’s costume as soon as you have it organised.
Requests
Please do not send your child in with laced shoes unless they are able to tie and untie these themselves. When getting a class of 16 dressed for outside, a lot of play time is lost if staff have to help each child with tricky footwear. With many thanks for your understanding.
Please donate packets of biscuits for our annual Christmas hamper collection which will be given to the Salvation Army for local families who are less fortunate than us. You will find boxes for these in the Nursery Hall and the Transition room. A very big thank you to those of you who have already given.
This week and next
This week we have visited the main school hall again to practise our Production songs and experience the opening and closing of the big curtains on the stage which the children were amazingly calm about. If they are as confident when they have you as an audience as they have been this week you will be so proud.
Transition children have made and decorated yummy gingerbread men biscuits, cut out and assembled split pin gingerbread men, played a related counting game and re-enacted the story so a myriad of skills have been practised and developed this week. The week commencing the 28th November they will be looking at the letter “w” and beginning some Christmas related crafts.
The nursery classes have been learning about the Little Mermaid and the Busy Bees had enormous fun drawing a life sized version using Mrs Duxbury as the template! Lots of fish and sea creatures have been played with and created and displays have appeared overnight.
