Mrs Wilding's Words Lent 11
Transition and nursery children have started talking and learning about Easter. They have been cutting out and printing related things as well as starting their Easter baskets, cards, bonnets and enjoying a range of related stories. I feel sure the hunts for eggs will be enormous fun and have a feeling that the Easter Bunny is planning a visit. If it’s anything like last year he left muddy footprints throughout the Transition room but was forgiven when lots of eggs were found in the garden!
During the week commencing 27 March the Nursery and Transition children will continue learning about Easter. Nursery children will also continue learning about the letters x, y and z and discover how to make the colour brown.
The clocks change this weekend but with the “eggscitement” of Easter egg hunts next week I’m sure the loss of an hour will not cause too many problems for your children!
Thank you for donating £61.00 on Red Nose day and sending the children in looking so colourful in their red clothes. A big thank you also goes to the Nursery Department families for buying raffle tickets for the Nursery basket of Easter goodies during our Claires Court Charity week which was won by Ewan Tekerian in Busybees class. We raised £82.00 which we are donating to Reuben's Fight.
The cold cookery activity on Wednesday afternoon will be making hot cross buns using bread mix, cinnamon and sultanas.
Term finishes on Wednesday after a full Nursery day and After School Care is in operation for the Nursery Department children only, i.e. not main school. We wish you all a very happy and peaceful Easter break and look forward to seeing everybody feeling rested and refreshed when the summer term starts on Wednesday 19 April.
