Mrs Wilding's Words Summer 3

We are all very excited about “Hatch Watch” taking place in the Nursery hall with the 10 live eggs arriving on Tuesday. We have seen the hatching take place and have a healthy brood of 7 chicks at the time of writing! This coming week they should be strong enough to handle so there is more excitement to come. The children have been busy making 3D models and handprint pictures of chicks and have created life cycle pictures and displays of these fluffy creatures. Incorporating the colour yellow and the letter ”b” the children have made a large Beehive boat from boxes and are planning on sailing away to exotic places!
Transition children have been busy planting sunflower seeds, painting and drawing still life pictures of these lovely flowers and cutting and sequencing life cycle pictures from seed to flower.
The week commencing 8 May the nursery children will be learning about planting and growing, the colour brown, the number 3 and the letter c. Any small toys incorporating any of these would be ideal as their “Show and Tell” item this week. Transition children will be learning about the weather and the letter t.
