Head's Words Summer Term Week 1
Welcome back to the summer term! The sun has been seen and everyone has come back with a spring in their step! We have many exciting topics to learn about, trips to enjoy and events to celebrate.
I'd like to take this opportunity to give information on a couple of things.
Communication
I'm sure you'll agree that the communication between School and parents has been made easier because of our Class Reps and the various Whatsapp groups in place. Following the last Class Rep meeting, it has been agreed that any urgent information about School events, fixtures etc. will come directly from the School Office via our text message system or email. This information will also be given to the Class Reps who will pass the message on if they can. This relieves any time pressure on the Class Reps.
Staff roles and responsibilities
Where possible, it is always best to contact your daughter's class teacher first. However for any information required or questions about activities, Mr Carruthers (snc@clairescourt.net) is the member of staff to contact. As Director of Studies, he is also part of the Junior Leadership Team.
Mrs King (lik@clairescourt.net) is also part of the Junior Leadership Teacher. Her role is Director of Teaching and Learning, and Teacher in charge of Lower Juniors.
Both Mr Carruthers and Mrs King are points of contact if I am away from School, so please do not hesitate to contact them if you should need to.
Drop off and pick up
If for any reason, your daughter arrives late to School (after registration) in the morning, please could you ensure they are signed in at the Office. At the end of the day, pick up time is 3:30pm, 3:50pm or 5pm. We understand that on occasions unforeseen problems can arise such as picking up siblings from other sites can cause you to be late. In such circumstances, a member of staff will wait for a short time in the Atrium. We will endeavour to contact you however if you are unreachable and/or are likely to be more than just a few minutes late, we will take your daughter to After School Care or the Office.
