The question: Why do we go to school?

(Actual answers to this question in my first assembly on Thursday!) 

Welcome back to the new academic year! I hope you all had a lovely summer. It has been wonderful to welcome back all of our families this week and I have enjoyed speaking with the girls about what they have been up to for the past few weeks. I am very excited about the year ahead and already we have so much planned.

Over the summer, much work has been carried out on the site. We have a new library and my office is now along the Upper Junior corridor. Mrs Rogers, our new nurse, and Mrs Gravett, our new SENCo, are based in the Lower Junior Department.

The girls have all come back excited and enthusiastic to start the new year and have already achieved many things with their new Class Teachers. Next week, our Curriuclum Meetings will take place. This is an opportunitiy for the Class Teachers to talk through the curriculum, discuss trips and events and answer any questions which you may have.
