Miss Barlow's Weekly Words Summer 3
As we end the first week in May and enter the bank holiday, the sun has made another appearance and with this comes the opportunity for the girls to learn outside.
Yesterday, Year 4 spent some time outside in their Art lesson drawing flowers and other parts of nature to gain inspiration for the sculptures they will be making next week.
Year 1 ventured out for a local walk to look at the houses and tried to spot the different features of houses and links to different eras.
Also this week, Reception paid their second visit to Normanhurst to share the stories and singing their concert song to the residents and on Thursday we held our first LAMDA showcase. Many of the LAMDA candidates from Years 3 to 6 performed their monologues to an audience of parents and teachers, giving us a great insight into how they performed during their exam last week. To see the pupils perform different pieces at levels ranging from Entry to Grade 3, was quite something!
I hope you all have an enjoyable bank holiday weekend.
