Mrs Kirby's (and Miss Lawrence's and Miss Maskell's) Weekly Words Autumn 4
This week I put my feet up....
Well... not quite but almost! On Wednesday this week, two Year 6 girls, Olivia and Maddie, replaced me as Head for the Day! They had a wonderful day observing lessons, attending meetings with some of the staff, reading with Lower Juniors and helping out during our Harvest Rehearsal; they did a grand job! One of the jobs the girls had during the day was to write a few words for the Bulletin...
From Miss Lawrence:
"I have really enjoyed today. Always reach for the stars!"
From Miss Maskell:
"I had fun today. If you can be anything, be kind!"
The show-stopper of this week, however, has to go to our Harvest Festival! Although short and sweet, the girls depicted what Harvest means to different people so well. From singing drama, from reflective artwork to poetry, our 2018 Harvest Festival, What Harvest Means to Me, was a big hit! A special mention must go to our wonderful Reception class who performed so confidently alongside their Big Girls in Year 6.
Thank you to everyone who attended.
Next week, we are looking forward to seeing many pieces of artwork from across the classes being entered into the ISA London West Art Competition, at Norden Farm. Miss Pridham has been busily getting pieces ready for the exhibition and judging. Good luck to everyone!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
