Mrs Kirby's Weekly Words Autumn 11
"A spoonful of medicine...."
... (that is a link to Mary Poppins not the fact that there are a lot of people with colds!)
I am surrounded by lots of singing and rehearsals that are in full swing for our Christmas productions next week. Putting on any production takes time and planning, but Christmas productions carry with them a lot of expectation and pressure (and that's just the teachers!). Our wonderful girls from Reception through to Year 6 have been working so hard to learn their lines, dances and songs in preparation for next week. These skills are important skills to have and they really have flourished!
As well as all of this drama (!), the girls have enjoyed many things in class including solving lots of maths problems, some using our bar modelling method. I know this is something that some parents found very interesting (and challenging!) during parental workshops last week.
I hope to see many of you at our various events over the coming weeks.
Have a wonderful weekend.
